Terms of Service

These Terms govern your submission of testimonies, audio, and video to the Real Encounters project. By submitting, you grant the publisher broad and lasting rights to publish and sell your content. Please read carefully before you submit.

I. Parties & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Real Encounters (the "Publisher", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of the website at signsfromheaven.online. By submitting any content to us — whether text, audio, video, or personal data — you accept and are bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not submit.

II. Eligibility

You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to submit a Submission. If you are between thirteen (13) and seventeen (17), a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and consent to your submission; their consent is presumed upon your submission. We do not knowingly accept submissions from anyone under thirteen.

III. The Submission

"Submission" means any testimony, story, text, audio recording, video recording, uploaded file, and accompanying personal information (including your first name, country, age, email address, optional WhatsApp number, and any other information you provide) that you transmit to us through this website.

IV. License You Grant — Critical

By submitting, you grant Real Encounters an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable, and exclusive license to use your Submission for the purpose of producing, publishing, distributing, promoting, and commercializing the Real Encounters books, ebooks, audiobooks, and any related works. This license includes, without limitation, the right to:

• Reproduce, edit, adapt, translate, abridge, expand, annotate, and create derivative works from the Submission;
• Publish, distribute, sell, license, and sublicense the Submission in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter invented, including print, ebook, audiobook, podcast, film, video, streaming, and any digital or physical format;
• Use your first name, country, and age (as you provided them) as attribution; if you have chosen anonymity, publish without attribution or under a pseudonym;
• Use excerpts of the Submission, in whole or in part, for advertising, marketing, promotion, and public relations relating to Real Encounters, present and future editions, and related products;
• Retain the Submission indefinitely for possible inclusion in current, reprints, future editions, collections, anthologies, or translated editions, whether or not we have initially selected it for publication.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you waive all moral rights in the Submission, including any right to object to modifications. You waive any and all claims for royalties, residuals, revenue participation, or additional compensation of any kind beyond the benefits of the plan you purchased at the time of submission.

V. Your Warranties

By submitting, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the sole author of the Submission and it is based on your own lived experience;
• The Submission is true to the best of your knowledge;
• You own or have secured all rights, permissions, and consents necessary to grant the license above;
• The Submission does not defame, invade the privacy of, or infringe any intellectual property right of any third party;
• Where your Submission references identifiable living individuals other than yourself, you have their consent to share the account, or are speaking only of your own experience of them;
• You have legal capacity to enter into this agreement, or a parent/guardian has consented on your behalf as described in Section II.

VI. Editorial Discretion

We exercise full editorial discretion. We may edit your Submission for length, clarity, grammar, flow, and narrative impact. We may translate, abridge, excerpt, annotate, or combine it with other testimonies. We may reject any Submission for any reason or no reason, and our decision is final. Being accepted into the editorial queue (free plan) is not a guarantee of publication.

VII. Submission Plans

We offer a free submission option and one or more paid submission options. The benefits, conditions, and pricing of each plan are those displayed on the submission page at the moment you place the order. We may change plans, benefits, and pricing at any time for future submissions; such changes do not retroactively affect plans already purchased.

VIII. Refunds

Refunds for any paid plan are available within the refund window stated at checkout for that plan. No refund applies once your Submission has been included in an edition that has been published, printed, or otherwise released to the public, regardless of the window originally stated. For reservations of books or related products, the stated refund window applies until the product has been delivered to you.

IX. Removal Requests

You may request at any time that we remove your Submission from our editorial queue and our files by emailing us (see Section XV). Before publication of an edition containing your Submission, we will remove it upon request. After publication, we will remove your Submission from all reprints, subsequent editions, translated editions, and derivative works going forward, but we cannot recall copies already printed, sold, or distributed, nor remove it from editions already released. A removal request does not entitle you to any refund beyond what Section VIII allows.

X. Commercial Use & No Further Compensation

You acknowledge and agree that your Submission will be commercialized — sold as part of the Real Encounters books, ebooks, audiobooks, merchandise, and related products. The benefits of the plan you purchased are the entire consideration due to you. You shall receive no royalty, profit participation, residuals, or additional payment of any kind, whether or not the book sells well, whether the format is digital or physical, whether translated or not, whether included in single or multiple editions, or whether exploited in any media now known or later invented.

XI. Indemnification

You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Real Encounters and its operators, editors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to any breach of the warranties in Section V or any third-party claim relating to your Submission.

XII. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranty that any Submission will be selected, published, or preserved. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Real Encounters shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of reputation, goodwill, emotional or spiritual distress, or any claim relating to the content, selection, editing, or interpretation of any book. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to your Submission shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any.

XIII. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

XIV. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. The parties shall attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute amicably before commencing any proceeding. Any unresolved dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Brazilian courts.

XV. Changes & Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced by email to users for whom we hold an email address; continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. XVI. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Real Encounters with respect to the subject matter and supersede any prior understanding.
